Yesterday we met with KarisHolman for lunch. She is one of the local Gas Buddies and her picture is in my Gas Buddies album.

Sounds fascinating. I had never heard about it before.

Thanks for being my newest friend. We're leaving in about two hours. What is a CAD Tech?

Tomorrow we're going camping at South Lake Tahoe for ten days. I'm not sure if I'll have a story 'til we get back.

Where the environmental/greenie hoax began:

Super unleaded was midgrade until late last summer when ethanol was mandated in regular grade. At that time many chains stopped carrying 89 octane and started to carry two formulas of 87 octane. GasBuddy defines midgrade as 89 octane, so we are playing by GB rules. Yes, for years "super unleaded" meant 89 octane in Nebraska and a few surrounding states, but we were the exception from the rest of the country. The "super" label is a holdover that does not mean the same as it did a year ago. Now it still means ethanol, but the octane rating is only 87. Some vehicles need 89 octane, why send them to a station that doesn't have it? That erodes the integrity of the site. There is a topic open in the Lincoln forum. Would like to have a discussion there.
