"For battery-electric vehicle customers, there has to be a behaviour change," David Mondragon told a business luncheon Thursday at a downtown Toronto hotel.

"You have to charge every day and you have to think about how far you're going on each trip."

They make batteries in large enough quantity that it is already mass production.

General Motors got into their current state by pricing products less than what they cost to make.

"...there has to be a behaviour change..."

How about maybe an ATTITUDE change for car makers? I think we are BEYOND trying to sloooowwww down (maybe that is reading between the lines, charging every day or thinking about how far you can go).

Yeah. There should be a law against pricing products based on what they cost to make.

Just goes to show how all this is a marketing charade. After the economic collapse, carmakers had to say they were going to make "greener" cars. What do you get? A prototype that they hope only a select and famous few will actually buy.

They need to manufacture EV's at a lower cost and get more range out of them. People need to change their mindset about EV's.

We are still at the beginning of the new time for EV. Glad to see more and more challengers join into this competition. Maybe one day we're gonna see car with wings.

Keep working on efficiency and cost, we'll probably need EV's at some point way, way down the road.

Realistic about how the market is most likely to evolve. Electric only is going to be a phenomena of the major urban corridors where driving distance is not as significant as in rural areas
