How I remember seeing through the years all the oil and natural gas being burned off and not used. What a shame. Just like the boxes or cases or pallets of food I see go to waste today or anything else, what a shame. So many that could use it all.

with natural gas you will still be dealing with big oil... had a natural gas truck a few years back was a deal for fuel for about a year then it jumped up to approximately the price of unleaded fuel. No real savings!!

I certainly agree that we have an incoherent energy policy. We are seeing some development in fuel on private land but not on Federal land. Also consumers our buying less gas due to high prices. I don't believe in green house gas or the carbon credit scam.

Good article.
Not a believer in subsidies. If it is worthwhile, and I believe that Natural Gas is, it will likely succeed within the market. Allow market forces to work.

Tell the government to stop subsidizing and let businesses succeed on their own.

The government needs to allow Ford to bring their Fiesta Edge Econetic across the pond from Great Britain. A 1.6 liter Duratorq TDCi diesel delivers 85.6 mpg (combined) http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/Fiesta/Modelsandprices

Keep the subsidies out of the equation. A product should be able to stand on its own at an affordable price for all.

The natural gas industry is wealthy, it does not need subsidies. Neither does the auto industries or the after market conversions.

Agreed. No subsidies for NG. There are no subsidies for any fossil fuels at this time (and there never have been), only tax credits which are incentives to invest in equipment, jobs and to explore and increase production. Tax credits are available to a multitude of industries and sectors. Apple gets tax credits as well. Every tax payer who owns a home gets a tax credit of some sort (i.e. property tax credit, mortgage interest, etc).
Unfortunately, even people who do not work or pay taxes get tax credits as well.
