Professor Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt publishes against Anthropogenic Global Warning

http://notrickszone.com/ from Germany's Bild.de -- Today, not one, but two of Germany’s most widely read news media published comprehensive skeptical climate science articles in their print and online editions, coinciding with the release of a major climate skeptical book, Die kalte Sonne (The Cold Sun).

"Why is it that you and others below will immediately shout-down Al Gore, who is more credible that Mr Vahrenholt, yet champion what Vanrenholt says without question?"

======================

Unbelievable! Wow, really? Gore more credible???!!!!

One rails on and on about scientific credentials and then put Gore up as more credible?!?!?!?

Incredible!!! LOL!

He is not a climatologists and has no professional training on which to make assertions, assessments, or interpretations on climate. My mother's from Germany, I've been to Germany multiple times, and yes I am aware of Germany's stronger environmental awareness relative to other parts of the world. It runs throughout our culture. Look at the Amish, which are of German descent.

If Vahrenholt sat on any other board except for one of largest major global oil companies, I might view his opinions with less guarded caution. But the fact of the matter is that he was aboard member for Royal Dutch Shell, one of the two most active global oil conglomerates that have spent heavily for decades in an effort to sway public opinion on Global Warming and other similar issues.

Why is it that you and others below will immediately shout-down Al Gore, who is more credible that Mr Vahrenholt, yet champion what Vanrenholt says without question?

And have I ever stated that I fully believe, embrace, or support everything the IPCC says and does? Are there people within the UN trying to manipulate policy? Sure, just as there are people within Royal Dutch Shell and countless other corporations, policy foundations, and governments for other reasons. I look at the underlying science, not what people that are trying to tell me, "... what the report says...." say.

I wish I could say that for even a handful of people here.

More from the article:
http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,813814,00.html

Varenholt "drew attention to risks in the chemical industry in my 1978 book "Seveso ist überall" (ed's. note: Seveso is Everywhere -- a reference to the infamous Seveso chemical spill in 1976 in Italy).
"The real problem that Martinman has is that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is more of a political than a scientific body. There is thin factual basis is for predictions that are made at the IPCC. Including the gem of an accusation that the Himalayan ICE packs will decline by 4 feet by 2005 (a 1995 prediction, which was easily verifiable at the time the IPCC was issued, but the politicians that put the report together could not be bothered. BTW- a subsequent study in 2009 found Himalayans are fine)

Martinman goes out of his way to distort the facts.

according to Wikipeidia:

Fritz Vahrenholt (born May 8th 1949 in Gelsenkirchen-Buer) served as Umweltsenator (senator for the environment) in Hamburg from 1991 to 1997. In 1998 he entered the energy industry and until 2001 was on the Board of Deutsche Shell AG, a Shell subsidiary. In 2001 he moved to post of CEO of the wind turbine company REpower Systems AG and remained there until 2007. Since February 2008 he has been CEO of an RWE subsidiary RWE Innogy.

***
What Martinman left out (or does not know?) is that it is common for Union members and/or Environmentalists to sit on the board of German companies.
Germany has a tradition of including all "stakeholders" in the running of their companies.

also;
http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,813814,00.html
points out he was an environmental activist, and the CEO of a renewable energy company.

Ah haha ha ha ha...

Look at the parrots squawking below!

Btw, you need to do your homework.

The "Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt" is a former board member of Royal Dutch Shell, who by education has an "Honorary" degree in chemistry !

"Professor Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt used to work for Shell in his field of public relations until 2001, whereupon he switched to RWE, one of Germany's largest energy companies... which runs a lot of coal power plants. And his professorship in Chemistry is a honorary one. As far as can be determined, his research work ended in 1975 - after that, his jobs were either political or corporate."

Now, let's look-up the other "author"...

Dr. Sebastian Lüning, is a geologist and palaeontologist, not a climatologist. And while he does have a list if peer review journal publications, none are in the area or field of climatology.

Oh, and btw - the "two of Germany’s most widely read news media" are the Bild and another German tabloid. You know, the ones that have those ever scientifically factual articles on ALIENS and FLYING SAUCERS.

Oh, wait, in Germany it's their obsession with David Hasselhoff...

This would almost be laughable, if it didn't show how desperate some here have become to find anything of value to disprove Global Warming...

Silly parrots

.

Psych 101: People want to believe the lies that say we are somehow at fault and can respond to enents in Nature that are random and we have No control: i.e. the meteor that struck the Earth 65 nMillion years ago and killed off Dinosaurs all at one time. There was the super eruption by a super volcano at a hole in the Earth where Yosemite is today caused an Extension Level Event millions of years before the rise of the Dinosaurs. Events that could happen to uS and we can not prevent or change!

Of course there's "climate change"; it's been happening since the dawn of time, and definitely before humans came on the scene.

I love the sound of that "popping noise" as the Gore-ons' heads finally come out of their lower units. :-)

"One of the fathers of Germany’s modern green movement, Professor Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt, a social democrat and green activist, decided to author a climate science skeptical book together with geologist/paleontologist Dr. Sebastian Lüning. Vahrenholt’s skepticism started when he was asked to review an IPCC report on renewable energy. He found hundreds of errors. When he pointed them out, IPCC officials simply brushed them aside. Stunned, he asked himself, “Is this the way they approached the climate assessment reports?”"

Read the full article and the other German periodicals' articles. After this series of articles to be published, the German people are waking to the scam foisted on the world by a group with a political agenda.
